More and more enterprises are paying attention to and using these certification marks to "gild" themselves. However, the certification mark has its own use norms. If it is abused, it is easy to be self defeating. It is not only invalid but also likely to constitute illegal acts.

Since the beginning of this year, the Taizhou entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau has found up to 24 cases of illegal use of the "ISO9001" certification mark in the inspection and supervision of some export commodities in the jurisdiction area, involving a total amount of US $938 thousand and 300. The products involved are mainly gasoline generators, industrial sewing machines, sprayers, air compressors and so on.

For example, fake "ISO9001" certification mark. In fact, some enterprises have not been certified by formal certification bodies, nor have they obtained certification certificates, but they have obtained certification through external publicity on their products. According to the provisions of the measures for the administration of certification certificates and certification marks issued by the General Administration of quality supervision, inspection and Quarantine of the people's Republic of China in 2004, "it is not allowed to mislead the public into believing that its service and management system have passed the certification by using product certification certificates and relevant words and symbols", which has constituted an illegal act of counterfeiting certification.

Another is the misuse of "ISO9001" certification mark. Although some enterprises have obtained the certification of the relevant quality management system certification body, they mark the certification mark on the product, or just mark the certification mark on the product packaging.

According to the management measures for certification certificate and certification mark, it is not allowed to mark the certification mark of management system on the product. Only when it is indicated that the certified organization has passed the certification of relevant management system, the certification mark of management system can be marked on the package of the product. Therefore, the correct way of marking should be to indicate on the packaging of the product: "some organization has passed the ISO9001 quality management system certification".
